NO TIME FOR GOD?
My
Pastor preached a message on stage some three or four Sundays back and I was in
awe. It wasn't the first time I had listened to his message or ripped the
message to my phone, this time it was different. The man I saw in front of me
said things that you had to know who you
are in Christ to be able to exercise so much authority. HMMMMMMMM... He
mentioned something about him waking up in the middle of the night on his
arrival to Lasgidi and he summoned the principalities in town to let them know
he had arrived and the city cannot contain both him and them, I was like
'kiloderm', was the principality looking for your trouble or did he come to
disturb you.
When
I see the likes of Daddy Adeboye, Pastor Poju Oyemade and my Daystar Pastors,
am like damn! I want to be like this, I want to speak with so much authority, I
want to pray and see miracles happen, I want to have the God-faith
that moves mountains, I want to be like Jesus that in the midst of a
raging storm, commanded storm to
calm.
This year for Daystar family is our year of taking territories and the biblical passage is premised on Matthew 6:33 (Seek ye first the Kingdom of God and all other things shall be added unto you). Seeking the Kingdom of God means knowing God better and his will for your life. To know God better is by studying the word, spending time in his presence, speaking to him and listening to him speak to us.

For
me, there hasn't been time, or time flies away sha.......I discovered today that I am behind on my bible reading plan and I haven't
prayed for more than five minutes this year especially during the week. I wake up around 5 am and drag on
till like 5:30 am, then in a hurry to catch a bus so I can be dropped exactly
at Obalende and not on top of the bridge. I only mutter "Good morning
Father, Good morning Son, Good morning Holy spirit". Then I'd play music
or listen to a message as I get ready, Is that okay though?
To
the busy us that don't think there is time to read our bibles and talk to God,
I've come up with some strategic ways to do so with a conscious effort.
a.
Try waking up earlier than the usual time. So for a sister or brother like me
that just decides to sit in bed doing nothing till 5:30. I can wake up by 5 am
and make the minutes for God.
b.
Get the bible app (audio version is available) on your phone and read or listen
to it as you journey to work and if you are driving, you can play it.
c.
The toilet zone at work is a quiet place you can meet with God.
d.
Listen to messages and worship or praise songs while working
e.
Talk to God before going to bed.
If
like me, you struggle with God's time during the week, try my suggestions
above and let me know how it goes. For those that don't, please share your opinions.
A
relationship with God cannot be compared to anything
else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
